Overlooking Plymouth Central Park, Alma Lodge Guest House is 5 mins walk from Plymouth Train station and

15 minutes walk into the City Centre (and also on a regular bus route into the City Centre) - City centre has a new indoor shopping centre - Drakes Circus - and Plymouth University.

We are only 3 miles from HMS RALEIGH. On bus route to most areas of the City including a direct bus route to Raleigh. Ideally situated for Dockyard, DML and HMS DRAKE.

Alma Lodge Guest House overlooks the small golf course in Central Park which has a picnic area, lovely play area for children and indoor heated swimming pool and diving pool Also very close proximity to Plymouth Argyle FC.

Plymouth is historical, with its Mayflower Steps in the Barbican (where the first American settlers set sail from England). Scott of the Antartic, Sir Francis Drake and the famous Hoe. We are only 5 mins drive from the historical Hoe (sea front) and Barbican areas, which make for a great day out.

City of Plymouth and surrounding area

Plymouth is a beautiful vibrant city in Devon, in the ever increasing popular South West. Devon is situated as the next county to Cornwall and our Guest House is on the A386 which is only about five minutes drive from the Saltash bridge which links Devon to Cornwall. (Also there is a ferry which takes transport and foot passangers across to Cornwall). This is only five minutes by car also.

There is a main ferry port which sails to Roscoff in France and Santander, Spain, which is ten minutes by car. Many of our visitors are holidaying to and from these countries and they find we are an ideal stop off point.
